This week on the show, we had Rachel Matos come talk to us about raising a son. She also opened up to us about what life was like when she divorced her son’s father and moved to California from New York City. In her lifestyle blog, The Art Muse, Rachel also blogs about her life in LA, fashion, wellness and of course art.
She talked up about the challenges of raising a teenager, such as: navigating his new dating life, setting limits on technology, and raising a child differently than her parents raised her. She also gives great insights about she has maintained a positive relationship with him throughout his life. We loved her honest, vulnerable and humorous approach to parenting.
We wanted to share some additional books and resources that might be helpful to those of you raising sons and daughters that foster communication, positive relationships. If anyone, is going through a divorce we also shared a few books about that topic.
There is something for everyone on this list!
We would love to hear your favorites in the comment section!
