About BRICIA

Hi ladies!  I am so happy you all took the time to visit my page and are interested in getting to know a little more about me. 

I am a proud Oaxaqueña living in Los Angeles with my husband Eduardo III, my son Eduardo IV, and daughter Augustina.

We also have dog, Diego; who I adopted a few years before my son was born. If you are a listener of the pod, you’ve probably heard of him and our wild journey together. He has been with me through thick and thin.

My siblings and I own Guelaguetza restaurant.  Everyone always asks how I like working with family.  Let me tell you, I love it!  I get to eat with them everyday and it brings us that much closer.  We compliment each other in so many ways and at the end of the day the business is that much better off.

Aside from the restaurant, I also wrote a cookbook, help run our online retail shop where we offer our mole starters and I Love Michelada Mix, co-founded a non-profit and share recipes on my personal blog.

To say I like to keep busy is an understatement, lol. But jokes aside, I feel incredibly blessed to do what I love every day. My love for family, culture and food fuel everything I do.

When I am not driving my kids around or working on the businesses, I love to get on my peloton, organize my home or travel to Oaxaca to visit family. I am a huge advocate for self care prioritizing our mental health. We are better humans when we learn to love ourselves as much as others.

Thank you for the support you’ve shown my sister and I through our podcast journey. It really means the world. I hope we run into each other at Guelaguetza soon!
